this was actually an interesting read. we all want to believe only talent matters, but first impressions definitely shape opportunities more than we would like to admit. the halo effect part especially made me pause.

This was such an interesting post. Pretty Privilege is something that I have suffered because of. Every Interview, Every opportunity, even friends are decided because of this. Given that i am average looking i have never been on receiving end of a fair competition. its true that your traits are what makes impression last, but you always have to worl teice as hard for people to notice you in the first place.
