on "Equal love for each child"

I can understand why this would hurt, especially when you’re not saying that your parents don’t love you, but simply that you can feel a difference in the way that love is expressed. Sometimes the hardest thing to explain is not the absence of love, but the feeling that you’re receiving a different kind of love compared to your siblings. When you grow up watching your parents treat your brothers in ways that feel warmer, softer, or more attentive, it’s natural to start questioning yourself and wondering why things feel different for you. And being the middle child can sometimes make those feelings even more complicated because you may feel like you’re expected to understand everything while quietly dealing with your own emotions. I hope you never convince yourself that their behaviour defines your worth or that you somehow deserve less love. You deserve to feel valued, heard, appreciated, and important just as much as your brothers do. Maybe your parents express their love differently, maybe they don’t even realise how their actions appear from your side, but your feelings are still completely valid. I also think it’s brave that you’re putting this into words instead of simply keeping everything inside. Sometimes we don’t need someone to immediately fix the situation; we just need someone to acknowledge that what we’re feeling is real. I genuinely hope that with time, you get the kind of reassurance and affection you’ve always wished for, without having to compare yourself to anyone else
