For years I've alwayed wondered the kinda of person you were grandma. But understood the person you loved. Mom always tells me about how losing and solving a problem scared her. How for, in your words, "there is always a solution for every problem." It's what Mom told me when I didn't understand my homework.

At the time I thought it that it was simple and an obvious thing to say because a math question always has an answer. Mom always repeated back that phrase, "a solution for a problem."

When I was finally old enough to understand, when I couldn't understand why my so called friends were not going to be a part of my life. Mom repeat again your phrase, only this time she told that this was what you really always said. "There is a solution for every problem you will face in life, a solution for everything except death." It was a bit morbid but I understand why Mom waited to tell me till I was old enough.

No matter what happens and every problem I ended up facing, your phrase reminded me to keep trying. To not give up or live life with no regrets. Although we never met Grandma you keep making my life a better place. Because of you I learned to never dell in the past. That people are meant to come and go. That there is a solution to every problem throw at me and making mistakes is part of that solution.

When you face a problem, do you
