When Cartoons Were Our Whole World πΊπ

There was a time when watching cartoons was simply a part of everyday life.
You'd come home from school, throw your bag somewhere, change your clothes, eat something quickly and turn on the TV. You knew exactly which cartoon was coming next because somehow you had memorised the entire schedule.
There was no need for Netflix, YouTube or endless scrolling.
You just waited.
And when your favourite cartoon finally came on, everything else could wait.
Back then, cartoons weren't something we thought about deeply. They were just fun. They made boring afternoons better, gave us something
to look forward to and sometimes even became the most important part of our day.
And then, somehow, we grew up.
Now you can be sitting there doing completely normal adult things and suddenly an old cartoon appears on your screen.
You hear the theme song.
And for a few seconds, you're not thinking about studies, work, responsibilities, the future or whatever else is going on in your life.
You're just that kid again, sitting in
front of the television without a single worry about what tomorrow is going to look like.
That's the strange part.
The cartoon hasn't changed.
The characters look the same.
The theme song sounds the same.
Even some of the jokes you remember are still there.
But you are different.
Maybe that's why watching cartoons now feels strangely emotional.
When we were younger, we couldn't wait to grow up.
We thought being older meant freedom, independence and finally
being able to make our own decisions.
Nobody really tells you that growing up also means slowly losing the simplicity you once took for granted.
You don't realise it's happening while it's happening.
One day you're arguing with your sibling over the remote.
Then suddenly you're older, and you realise you haven't watched that cartoon in years.
Sometimes I think that's why we go back to old cartoons.
Not because we're childish.
Maybe we're just looking for something familiar.
Something that doesn't ask anything from us.Something that reminds us of a time when happiness could be as simple as a favourite episode and a snack.
And honestly, there's nothing wrong with that.
Growing up doesn't mean we have to leave every part of our childhood behind.
Maybe we can carry some of it with us.
Maybe watching an old cartoon after a long day is just another way of reminding ourselves that the younger version of us is still somewhere inside.
The kid who laughed at silly jokes.
The kid who got excited over a new episode.
The kid who didn't need a complicated reason to be happy.
We spent so much of childhood wanting to become adults.
And now, sometimes, all it takes is one familiar cartoon to make us miss being that kid again.
So, what cartoon can still make you feel like a kid no matter how old you get? πΊπ
When you hear the theme song of a cartoon from your childhood, you
Your vote is final.
