Why Does Everything Feel Different When It Rains?

There is something about rainy days that makes ordinary things feel a little different.
The same room somehow looks calmer. The same road looks completely new. Even making a cup of chai and sitting near the window suddenly feels like an actual plan. 😭
I don't know if it's the sound of rain, the cloudy sky, or just the fact that everyone seems to slow down a little
What I find interesting is that people have such different relationships with rain.
Some people wait for it all year. The moment it starts raining, they're already thinking about chai, pakoras, music and sitting by the window.
Others absolutely hate it. Wet clothes, traffic, muddy roads, power cuts… for them, rain is basically a personal inconvenience. 😭
And then there are people like me who somehow like both sides of it.
I love watching rain from inside. But actually going outside while it's raining? Suddenly I'm questioning every decision that brought me there.
Still, rainy weather has this strange way of changing the mood of a place
A street that usually looks completely normal can suddenly look beautiful with puddles reflecting the lights.
The sound of vehicles becomes quieter under the sound of rain. Even the sky feels closer somehow.
And maybe that's why people take so many pictures when it rains.
We know it's going to stop eventually, but somehow we still want to capture it.
“Bas ek photo le leti hoon.”
And then somehow that becomes twenty-seven photos of the same sky. 😭I also think rain makes people nostalgic without even trying.
You hear a certain song while it's raining and suddenly that song feels completely different. You sit near a window and start thinking about random things you haven't thought about in months.
Nothing actually happened.
It's just raining.
But somehow your mind decides this is the perfect time to remember everything.
Maybe that's the weirdest thing about certain kinds of weather. They don't just change the world outside; they change the way we experience the world for a little while.
So I'm curious
Are you a rain person or a “please make it stop” person? 😭
What's your ideal rainy-day plan: staying inside with chai, going for a walk, listening to music, sleeping for hours, or actually going out and enjoying the rain?
And do rainy days genuinely make you feel different, or is it just something we've convinced ourselves to believe?
Because honestly, I still can't decide whether I love the rain itself or just the feeling that comes with it. 🌧️🤍
When it starts to rain, do you
