Words are Power

All my life I've been a word person. I feel words are magic. The spoken word calls things to you, creates a spell around you, and manifests your words into your reality. Words have power. Impact. Wars have been started on a word.
That is why I became a journalist and got involved with words on a more intense and intimate level. It matched my one talent--- truthfinding. I am compelled to find it in all things. I swear I could smell a lie like a festering toe, even under layers of socks and bandages, even with your shoe on.
To further complement both of those gifts I also have an intense curiosity. Sometimes it leads me to ask difficult questions others don't ask. But you know they were thinking it! I have no fear in this and will ask anyone,anywhere, if my bells are going off. I must know the truth and I must let my curiosity push me to ask different questions that reveal the truth hiding behind a lie.
I don't just ask questions to find out the answer. Yes, just like most women, we will ask questions when we already know the answer. Because we are curious about what you would say, what you would tell us. And make no mistake, when you choose to lie you reveal quite a bit about a lot.
You revealed so much more about the situation you're lying about then you even realize or that you could ever imagine. It tells a fair bit about your character and the way you move in the world. It doesn't matter that you tell a little lie or a big one. It doesn't matter. A lie is a lie is a lie. Also, there's no 'your truth' either...did you hear that? Allow me to repeat that. There is no YOUR TRUTH. There is only THE TRUTH.
You can't employ the truth to others and not upon yourself, too. To be a real bearer of Truth you would apply it to yourself first.
It is not a choice I make, it is as if I am chosen to bring it. I'm compelled, driven to find it. I cannot suffer a lie to live. Lies hurt people. Lies are cancer to everything they touch. No change or growth can happen while the lies exist. It's the lie...or me.
