A Day in the Sydney Grind
Very nice day today, despite the usual chaos. Powered by an oat latte from Single O and sheer willpower, I felt that familiar buzz kick in. My morning started with Opal drama; tapping on at Central was a challenge as the 'gods' felt spicy.
Then it was a sprint through Martin Place in my RM Williams, trying to look composed as Slack blew up. The inevitable 'quick chat' ping from the boss landed – we all know those are never quick, always adding fresh pressure.
Lunch was the classic internal debate:
- A sad desk salad for practicality
- A reckless Mad Mex run for spice
The afternoon always drags, a real energy slump. So, I did a quick lap around Barangaroo, just pretending the Harbour breeze was genuine self-care, a mental break.
After work, it was a toss-up: a lively Ivy knockoff or a quieter schooner at the Lord Nelson to decompress. On the packed T2 home, AirPods in, I ignored emails till tomorrow. It's the Sydney grind, a relentless hustle, but honestly, I wouldn't trade this vibrant, chaotic life for anything.
