took a sick day

9:00 AM: Called in sick. Not physically sick. Mentally exhausted. Is that allowed?

10:00 AM: Slept in. No alarm. No stress dreams about deadlines. Just sleep.

12:00 PM: Made proper breakfast. Eggs. Toast. Coffee i actually tasted. When did i stop doing this?

2:00 PM: Went for a walk. Outside. In daylight. Forgot what sun feels like.

4:00 PM: Met friend for coffee. She said i look different. Relaxed. Is that what my face does?

6:00 PM: Cooked dinner. Listened to music. Danced in my kitchen like an idiot. Felt alive.

9:00 PM: Checked work email once. Just once. Closed it. Didnt respond. Progress.

One day off. Thats all it took to remember im a person. Not just an employee.

There have been cases where work pressure is too much. It is great that you are working and sharing your thoughts with the world. Keep writing.
