boundaries feel impossible

9:00 AM: Boss emailed at 11pm last night. Expecting response. I was asleep. First time in months.

11:00 AM: He asked why i didnt reply. Told him i was sleeping. He looked annoyed. Not my problem.

2:00 PM: Set up out of office for evenings. "Not available after 7pm." Felt revolutionary.

4:00 PM: Colleague said im "changing". Like its a bad thing. Maybe changing is exactly what i need.

6:00 PM: Left at 6 again. Getting easier. Still feels wrong but less wrong.

8:00 PM: Turned off work notifications. Phone feels lighter without the constant pinging.

10:00 PM: Read a book. An actual book. For fun. Forgot that was allowed.

Setting boundaries feels selfish. But maybe self-preservation isnt selfish. Maybe its necessary.

You're absolutely right. Be strong and dedicated. I think that is the magic mantra. Keep sharing, it helped many in testing times.
