childhood memories

Nostalgia is something beyond memories... It is the quiet ache of the heart, the emotions that linger long after a moment had passed. ..Memories remind us of what happened, but nostalgia lets us feel those moments all over again...It is a word that always takes me back to the beautiful world of my childhood - a time when we were just children, untouched by the hardships of life..it transports me to days filled with endless joy, innocent laughter and boundless excitement, where happiness was found in the simplest moments and everyday felt like a new adventure..For a little while , nostalgia lets us live in that magical world again.
Take me back to those school days..to those neatly pressed uniforms, tiny backpacks filled with books, polished shoes and water bottles swinging by our side.to the mornings spent eagerly waiting for school bus, chatting and laughing with friends before another day of adventure began...Back then, we complained about Mondays and counted the days until the weekend..we wished for holidays to come sooner, never realising that one day, those very Mondays would become the memories we would long to relive..if only we had known that the days we wanted to escape would one day would become the days we would miss the most..that is the bittersweet reality of nostalgia ..
Waiting eagerly for those children's magazine on every Fridays .. listening to Grandma's magical bedtime stories that carried us into dreamland.. savoring the homemade sweets prepared by mother, especially the love wrapped inside a simple pothichoru..and then came the festival seasons.
Onam wasn't just a festival; it was a feeling..the colourful athapookkalam..,the aroma of sweet payasam..,the excitement of vadamvali..the thrill of kaduvakali..and of course the irresistible keralasadhya served on a fresh banana leaf ...
Those were the days when happiness was found in the simplest moments and every memory still brings a smile..Wow ... nostalgia truly has a beautiful way of taking us back to a world where life felt so innocent and complete..
Enough..let me wake up from this beautiful world of nostalgia and return to reality..that little girl who once waited eagerly for Fridays, schoolbuses, festivals, bedtime stories and homemade treats has now grown up to a mom of a little cutie pie..Time has moved on..seasons have changed..an life has given me new responsibilities.. but one thing never changes-nostalgia..it always find its way back, gently reminding me of the little moments that made life so magical..
Goodbye,my beautiful memories..until we meet again😊
