cousins meetup
Summer holidays were the days I eagerly waited for throughout my childhood..The month of March arrived with exam stress.. sleepless nights..and endless revisions..while April makes the end of it all, bringing a wave of happiness and freedom..the final school bell before the holidays felt like the sweetest sound, announcing two months of endless fun..laughter and unforgettable memories..
Those carefree days filled with adventures and simple joy are treasures that still bring a smile to my heart whenever I think of them..then came the most exciting part- the wait for our cousins to arrive..the moment they stepped into the house,it transformed into a world of endless laughter and joy... every corner echoed with giggles..playful fights..silly games and countless adventures..the house would be turned upside down, but our hearts were full of happiness..those noisy days.. filled with togetherness and unforgettable moments were the true essence of summer holidays..
Once our cousins arrived for the summer holidays, the real adventure began..our first destination was always the endless green fields, where everyday promised a new memory..we spent hours running barefoot.. playing in the open.. trying our luck at fishing and laughing along the riverside..we waited eagerly for a gentle breeze to shake the mango trees, hoping a few perfectly ripened mangoes would fall into our hands ...the days were filled with endless games of hide and seek..carrom...snake and ladder and countless other childhood favourites..there were no gadgets..no schedules..and no worries - just pure happiness..shared laughter and memories that still warm our hearts today..
Back then, the months of April and May always seemed shorter than February...time flew when we were surrounded by laughter..cousins and carefree days..and then came june, knocking on our doors with the sound of heavy rain, reminding us that it was time to return to school..
Looking back now,I often wonder if it was really rain that drenched those mornings or wee they our tears, reluctant to say goodbye to the most beautiful days of the year?
As May quietly faded away,so did our summer holidays..one by one, cousins returned to their homes.. carrying suitcases full of clothes and hearts full of memories...
Today, life has changed..those cousins are busy with their own families and careers...some are miles away, living in different countries..the once-noisy courtyards have grown quieter, but the memories still echo through our hearts.. goodbye, dear April and May.. thankyou for the laughter..the adventures..the memories that time could never erase...
And now,let me step back into reality..it's time to pack my little one's lunch box for school...As I watch another childhood begins,I smile, knowing that one day these moments too will become someone's nostalgia..😊
