I know how much it hurts. In my case I too remember certain things which my parents have absolutely forgotten. Whenever I bring out those details they claim that it never happened. Instead of saying what we did was wrong they ask me if I understand that I am hurting them by saying such things. I stopped discussing memories (good or bad) with my parents years ago.
