As we grow up we understand the prayers better. Prayer are not about getting what we asked. Sometimes they are about understanding what we got and why we deserved it. My prayers from childhood and adulthood are poles apart and I am okay with that.
This is so pure and heartfelt. The way you wrote "I praise you even when I hurt, even when I'm lost" - it takes real faith to say that.
