As we grow up we understand the prayers better. Prayer are not about getting what we asked. Sometimes they are about understanding what we got and why we deserved it. My prayers from childhood and adulthood are poles apart and I am okay with that.

This is so pure and heartfelt. The way you wrote "I praise you even when I hurt, even when I'm lost" - it takes real faith to say that. Especially that line, I thank you for the pain even though in the moment it seems all consuming, and I don't deserve your love but you love me anyways. It's not easy to trust that there is a reason behind everything when you are going through it. This will touch a lot of people who are feeling the same. Stay strong.
