This is such a strange part of growing up that nobody really prepares you for. There isn’t always one big moment when you suddenly feel like an adult—it’s often these tiny things, like booking your own appointment, remembering the details, making a phone call, or handling something without asking someone else to do it for you. And then suddenly you realise, “Wait, when did I become the person responsible for all of this?” 😭 I really liked how you connected such a simple task with the memory of adults doing these things for you when you were younger. It makes you realise that growing up is less about becoming completely independent overnight and more about slowly taking over all those little responsibilities you once never even noticed.
