I think self-love is often misunderstood as simply being confident or ignoring what others say, but it’s much deeper than that. It’s about knowing your own worth even on the days when you don’t feel your best, and not allowing someone else’s opinion to become the way you see yourself. We can care about people, listen to them and still choose not to let their words define us. Sometimes loving yourself means setting boundaries, sometimes it means forgiving yourself for past mistakes, and sometimes it’s simply giving yourself the same patience and kindness that you easily give to others.
