First, let me apologize for my mistake for the previous articles where I called Miley's brother as Jason instead of Jackson. I realised my mistake when I started writing today and remembered Jason Earles (an actor in his late 20s at that time) was the actor who played teenage Jackson Stewart who was Miley's brother 🙈

Anyway, let us begin, shall we? Those who watched Hannah Montana know that Jackson, too was a teenager like Miley and he was her schoolmate. He is known for his goofy, lazy and disgusting habits. When Jackson first attended school in California, he was made fun of for his accent, cowboy hat, boots, and large belt buckle with shining bright lights to school. What was fashionable in his native Tennessee was not considered cool in California. Jackson quickly adapted to the style and living of California to fit in with the school crowd.

Jackson and Miley constantly bicker and compete for their father's approval. Miley often finds Jackson's antics disgusting and Jackson sometimes thinks that Miley is too full of herself. But in reality, both Miley and Jackson are able to express their love and appreciation for each other and maintain a healthy sibling relationship. Jackson even goes to great lengths to help Miley when she gets herself in serious trouble on several occasions. Jackson often pranks his sister, yet he would never bring it into the "Hannah World". He would not go so far as damage her public image as Hannah Montana. Unlike Miley, Jackson is not an achiever. He constantly lives under her shadow. Unlike others, Jackson does not attend Hannah events in disguise.

Jackson brought a unique flair to the show. His portrayal of a teenage boy was believable. The show depicted how teenagers are under pressure to blend in with the crowd and act like cool kids. It was heartbreaking to see how Jackson let go off his Tennessee upbringing and culture to become one with the culture and crowd of California. Though he never forgot who he was and where he came from.

Also, the dynamic between Robby and Jackson was interesting. Jackson would ignore a few of his father's advices, thinking he was old enough to decide for himself, only to realise that his dad had been right all along. Robby and Jackson's relationship was more like mentor and guide, where Robby would teach him from his own experiences and guide him navigate through his teen years.

Jackson used to work at Rico's food stand where he would fight with Rico, only to reconcile at the end. The friendship between Jackson and Rico was fun to watch, but also it taught the viewers that an employer and employee would not become friends and the relationship between them would always remain strained.

Jackson was a carefully crafted character that had strengths, weaknesses, flaws, and depth. He was just beyond the lead's sibling and added the much needed loving element that showed the perfect sibling dynamic.

Though, Jackson was not the main character of the show, the character was the central to the plot and deserved all the love he got.

When fitting into a new crowd, should you
