Ravi had been petrified. While Sagar had told him that the road should be avoided he was not aware that it was not just of precaution to protect himself from the dark. It was a warning to stay away from the world where the living beings do not dwell. The road was considered forbidden for a reason.

When Ravi learnt the truth, chills ran down to his spine. His mouth went dry. He felt numb. His back continued to hurt because of the injuries of unknown origin. The entire group had been gathered around Ravi to ensure that their friend was safe. Ravi continued to feel guilty for wasting the group's precious studying time. After a few moments of recovery, Ravi announced that the group should go back to their studies.

The group study continued. Ravi's discomfort kept growing with each passing minute. His back continued to hurt while slowly he started feeling that his body temperature had been rising. Ravi decided to keep quiet.

The groups study session ended at 6 o'clock in the morning. All friends decided to head back their home for a well deserved sleep. When Ravi returned home he was running a high fever. He did not mention to his parents anything that happened the previous night. He did not mention about the scratches on his back. He had to go to hospital for his fever.

When he was seen by a doctor a plethora of medical tests were ordered. All the tests came back negative. The origin of the fever could not be found out. The doctor considered it to be a seasonal flu and asked Ravi to get rest for a few days. The doctor suggested that within a couple of days he would start feeling better. Ravi decided to follow doctor's instructions and get rest for a couple of days. He decided not to attend the college for next couple of days.

Ravi continue to have high fever which was not getting any better with the prescribed medicines. After a couple of days fever subsided suddenly. Ravi started feeling better. He also checked whether the scratches on his back had been getting better. Surprisingly the scratches too had recovered completely. Within next few days Ravi was completely back to normal.

This experience left a deep scar on Ravi's mind forever. Once an adventurous man Ravi had now become careful. He used to be fearles but now he considered warning with caution. He pays attention to every instruction provided by others and no longer takes them lightly. From what he had experienced he knows that the world has a lot of phenomenon hidden from the eyes of humans. He had now understood that the truth could be stranger than the fiction. From his own experience he can tell that not everything can be seen with eyes. He knows very well that darkness and night guard some of the secret that should not be uncovered by humans. He has now understood that not only living being considered Earth to be their home.

Ravi's encounter with paranormal changed his entire world. Now whenever he goes he hopes that the attendees are only living beings, for he does not want to come face to face with paranormal entities.

The way the story builds suspense is really interesting. I like how Ravi’s experience slowly reveals that there was more to the warning than he initially understood. It makes you curious to know what happens next and how everything connects.

Whenever people cross path with supernatural forces, illnesses of unknown origin occur. I am glad that Ravi is now a more careful person. His experience taught us lessons as well.
