Forever starts with Friendship

Forever starts with Friendship

bond between three friends

Chapter 1

Bond between us

Bond between us

Some friendship are not made; they are destined..ours began when we were just three years old..In the quiet courtyard of our church, beneath the fragrant chembaka tree..three little girls crossed paths while collecting fallen flowers..A simple smile was exchanged..tiny hands found each other and without any promises,a lifelong friendship quietly began...
From that day on,we were almost inseparable...we took our first steps into the world of letters together, carrying little schoolbags than seemed much bigger than us..From nursery to tenth grade, the same bench..the same laughter..the same dreams-we grew up side by side
We celebrated each other's victories...comforted one another through tears..shared lunchboxes.. whispered secrets and created memories that time could never erase..As the years passed, life took us along different paths, but the bond that was born beneath the chembaka tree has never faced ..some friendships don't need constant conversations or daily meetings..they simply live in the heart.. untouched by time and distance...ours is one of those friendships-a bond that began with three little girls holding hands and continues to remind us that the purest friendships are often the ones that begin in childhood...
There were no barriers between us-no secrets left untold..we shared everything..from our smallest worries to our biggest dreams and even those innocent schoolgirl crushes that once seemed like the greatest secrets in the world...study leave never felt stressful because we had each other..we would gather at one of our homes with books spread across the table, trying to revise every subject...of course, our conversations often lasted longer than our studies..but somehow we always managed to get through our exams together...life was beautiful..it was simple .It was ours..
After the tenth grade, life gently pulled us in different directions..each of us had different dreams to chase..so we joined different schools and different courses..yet nothing really changed..every morning we met at the busstop, sharing every little detail of our day..our conversations could go on for hours until people around us would smile and ask"what could the three of you possibly have to talk about for so long?"..Little did they know that when hearts understand each other, conversations never run out ...
Then came college days..our meetings became less frequent but our friendship never became smaller ...Time only increased the distance between our meetups..never the distance our hearts...
And then..
Life wrote a chapter we never wanted to read..At just 21 years of age, cancer took one of us away..for a long time I kept asking, how could this happen?how could we possibly live without the one who had been part of our every single day for nearly eighteen years?
The silence she left behind was louer than words ... people say we lost her ...but I didn't think we did. She is still with us..not just in our memories..but in every corner of our lives..
Whenever the two of us sit beneath the old chembaka tree in our church courtyard,we can still feel her ...she visits us in the gentle breeze that brushes against our faces..she smiles through the fragrance of the flowers that first bought us together.. sometimes,in those quiet moments,it almost feels as though she is listening to our endless conversations, just as she always did..
Perhaps heaven only needed another anel..but our hearts still need our friend..My dearest friend, this is not goodbye..🥺
It is only "see you later"
One day,in God's beautiful Kingdom, beneath a tree more beautiful than our little chembaka tree, the three of us will hold hands once again..we will laugh without limits..gossip without looking at the time and continue the conversation tar never truly ended ...
Until then..keep smiling from heaven..we will save a place for you beside us-just as we always did ...
Comment below if you are blessed with a friendship that lasted more than ten years.. treasure those rare souls..hold them close.. cherish every memory and never let them go ...True friendships are one of life's greatest blessings...😌
