Fashion jewellery is an important part of the trends and styles of each era. 2000s was no exception to this rule. The fashion jewellery of 2000s was interested and I wish that this friend returns.

2000s was also the decade when fashion accessories had created their own position in the fashion industry. Fashion accessories were up and centre to the fashion. The accessories were prominent and hard to ignore. Accessories were making the statement. Accessories were showing how to express the identity and personality.

The accessories of 2000s were chunky and visible. This accessories ranged from bracelets to earrings to necklaces. Yet there was a rule that in the overall outfit only one statement jewellery can be worn. Sometimes the accessories would look so great with outfit that it would be difficult to choose between which statement accessories would look the best.

I was completely in love with these chunky fashion accessories. I would love wearing statement necklaces and had possessed a lot of statement necklaces during that time. I would love big long earrings and ever since 2000s I always had a huge collection of statement earrings. Bracelets was the only department where in I did not have a huge collection. I would rarely wear bracelets hence I would have one or maximum two bracelets that I would use on a regular basis. But otherwise most of the times I would wear simple beaded bracelet.

Recently I had seen a couple of videos where people had been bashing the turquoise statement necklaces of 2000s. But in my opinion they would look great as well. They would add a beautiful colour to the outfit. It would make the simple basic t-shirt stand out. Just like every girl from 2000 I too had the turquoise statement necklace in my wardrobe. I was still using it a couple of years ago. Unfortunately it did not stand the test of time and it broke that is when I had to stop using it.

Besides that I still have a lot of chunky accessories from that time. Instead of buying new trending accessories I continue to use those because I am completely in love with them. According to me they still look amazing and the elevate every outfit. I do not see a reason to discard those accessories just because they are no longer in trend. To me if they still look good then there is no reason to let them go.

Nowadays I see that the fashion industry is pushing the trend of delicate fashion accessories. These accessories also fragile that after a couple of wear they easily break. They do not with stand the stress of time. I do not know whether it is the agenda to push people to purchase more or it is just one of those trends that would come and go. But looking at the downside of the latest trend of delicate accessories I would rather stick to my old pieces that are still here after 20 years from their purchase.

I do not mind if they are out of the trend but until and unless they serve the function I would continue to use them.

When it comes to fashion trends, do you
