Being attached with anyone or anything is not good for all, who are emotionally weak. It's my personal experience and opinion, after loosing my pet, a rabbit, who's name was ori (shot comes from Oreo). He was just 2 years old. He was all centre of attraction, attention for whole family. Especially my kids, who were completely in his emotional attachment. Even we elders also were same with him.
Ori took his last breath last night. We were trying to cure his health problem, which couldn't diagnos by two experienced veterinary doctors. He didn't eat whole day a single byte nor he was responding to anything.
We couldn't save the little one. It was horrible to watch that innocent little soul lose its life. I can't explain the pain of going through something like this.
I just wanted to share m…
Coffee mug, something that I always keep by my side.
Not just a MUG, Not just a THING, Not just a coherent MATERIAL. Yes, I get attached to materialistic things, but that is what keeps myself intact and humane.
The humanity inside you isn't lost anywhere, you just have to be kind and observe the heartfulness around you because everyone deserves kindness even if the world has been harsh to them, the world should believe at what you're doing.
There is a certain intimacy in the objects one possesses. To an outsider, it may simply be a “coffee mug”, a cylindrical ceramic vessel with a warm liquid sliding down one’s throat. But to me, it is never an object, a vessel made out of a particular material in a certain shape, it is never just a coherent whole. Yes, I am very much attached to my mater…
Be Honest, You Do This Too
There are certain things we all do, but somehow nobody wants to admit them.
Like opening the fridge when you're bored.
You already know what's inside.
You checked ten minutes ago.
Nothing has changed.
Still, you open it again like someone might have secretly added cake. 😭
Or checking your phone immediately after hearing a notification, even when you know perfectly well it wasn't yours.
Then there's pretending not to see someone in public because you don't have the energy to talk.
You see them.
They see you.
Suddenly your phone becomes the most interesting thing you've ever owned.
And don't even lie about rehearsing conversations.
Someone says something to you, you give them a normal answer, and then three hours later your brain comes up with the perfect response.…
There are days when we say " I'm fine" even when we are not .
Sometimes we don't say what we really feel because we are afraid that people might misunderstands us sometimes we don't want to become a burden , and sometimes we simply don't know how to put our feelings into words . So we smile, continue our routine, reply toh messages, and behave as if everything is normal.
But silence does not always means that everything is okay.
A person who seems cheerful may be struggling quietly. Someone who suddenly becomes distant may simply be tired of pretending to be strong . We often see peoples behaviour, but we don't see the emotions behind it.
This is why being heard can be so powerful.
When someone listens without interrupting , judging or immediately trying to fix everything , it can create a…
Lately, My pare have not been the happy couple that they used to be.
I have always seen my parents be respectful of one another and love each other in the most serene way. We gree up as a nuclear family and had no part played by relatives for the lingest of times.
A couple years back, we moved back to our hometown to live with the joined family and my mum faced some of the most difficult hardships of in-laws. Since my grandparents have already passed on, these relationships were mostly my uncles and aunts.
They took to being disrespectful to my mum, disregarding and even rude to her. She wndured alot for our sake and now that we have separated again, anytime their name comes up she flares in anger.
My dad however sees his relationships from a different light and yes they were not very r…
I would like to start from a year when I was in 4th class, I was very special to my daddy, means he loved me the most. Whatever I said, I got it, whatever I said, happened and it is the same even today, but perhaps at that time I should not have done so much for myself because you must have heard that children become careless. Same thing happened with me, I used to be very intelligent in my childhood, I was first in my class and in the eyes of all the teachers I was the worst student, their care made me careless. As I grew up, I started to wonder why I needed to study, I already know everything.I entered 5th grade and started getting low marks. I stopped studying and started focusing only on playing and jumping. Then the teachers of that school started scolding me and asking why I don't stu…
Now they become burden on myself. Because I cannot handle this anymore, i think I'm done now .
Sometimes its feel so heavy.
But you know that you have to handle this alone because there is no one who can heal you , they only judge you .
But after this things which you already know you want a safe hand or a healing hand who can listen you without judging, who can support you in every situation.....
But in reality you have to handle yourself ..
There is no words to describe these feelings sometimes our tears also leave us .
I’m afraid that I’ll never get that feeling. The one where you know that you’re exactly where you’re supposed to be. You’re doing exactly what you’re supposed to do. I’ve been anxious for as long as I can remember. None of my thoughts ever seem to reach a conclusion, im just swirling in a continuous loop of wondering if im making the right choices, if im going down the right path. I try to remind myself that if im constantly worried about the future, then im not living in the present, but truthfully, im worried about the present, too. All in all, im scared that ill live my entire life and never feel that moment. That blissful contentedness that comes from knowing, even through the hard parts, that you belong where you are.
I think the hardest thing about overthinking is that your mind never really knows when to stop.
A small conversation becomes ten different possibilities.
A late reply becomes a hundred questions.
Something that happened yesterday suddenly becomes a problem you are trying to solve again at 2 a.m.
And the strange part is, sometimes nothing is actually wrong.
Your mind just keeps asking, “But what if…?”
What if I said something wrong?
What if they meant something else?
What if things change?
What if the thing I'm afraid of actually happens?
You can be sitting in a completely quiet room and still feel exhausted from a conversation that's happening entirely inside your head.
Maybe that's what makes overthinking so tiring.
The situation ends, but your mind keeps living in it. ❤️🩹
Stories of violence, both self-inflicted and interpersonal, have become so normal nowadays. And in collective terms, societies are yet to understand the why and how of these behavioural patterns. I personally feel so helpless and weird having to carry on with our lives while we morbidly consume such news reports like regular chai-time content. At the micro level, I think we are increasingly becoming desensitised, wherein our ability to deal with or emphatically remember such occurrences stays only as long as social media algorithms chooses to remind us of it.
Speed and productivity is so celebrated among us that we cannot afford to stop for a day to grieve these losses. I sometimes feel like we just keep going on and move past these incidents until one day, when we become a part of such…
Sometimes its feel heavy . I'm sharing with you because I think you can understand me . Can I ask you something? Why people hurt me ? , Why they didn't choose me ? , Why they think that I nothing ? . Its hurts me . I can't tolerate this anymore. Why they always judge. Can you feel this ..... I hope you understand me ....
We spend our lives searching for solutions to the universe’s biggest mysteries, traveling the farthest corners of the universe, but the greatest mystery of all is right here in our hearts, asking us a seemingly simple question that hides a multi-billion answer: who am I?
We answer this question with our names, mirror-image faces that smile back at us from the bathroom mirror, the status we hold in society, the nationality that we carry in our hearts, and the community to which we belong. We answer this question with paper clipped to a changing belong. We answer this question with paper clipped to a changing environment. When we peel back these layers, we find that it is a flowing river, full of life and changing every day.
We are the product of all of our choices, big and small, those mad…
The Phone Call
I Was About to IgnoreOne evening, I was extremely busy. I had several things to finish, and my phone kept ringing. Most of the calls werenotifications or people asking about ordinary things, so when an old friend's name appeared on the screen, I almost ignored it.I thought, “I will call back later.”
But for some reason, I answered. At first, the conversation was normal. We talked about work, old memories, and people we knew. After a few minutes, my friend became quiet.
I asked if everything was okay.He told me that he had been going through a difficult period and had not really spoken to anyone about it. He said he had called me because he remembered that I had always listened without judging him.I did not know what to say.I was not a professional counsellor, and I could not…
Beta, bring me those jalebis nah”. The shrill voice echoes through the evening chatter, for the hundredth time today. My parents are busy with the incoming guests gathered for my brother’s seventh birthday. I rush to the kitchen to bring in the hot jalebis and chocolate cake prepared for the guests. I am wearing a simple black T-shirt paired with my home pajamas, my makeup incomplete. Birthdays are supposed to be celebrations, but I am tired of catering to the whims of my aunt, also known as, the jalebi-seeker. He turns seven today. All my relatives and a few of his friends have come to our house to celebrate with him. A faint tune of Happy Birthday song floats in the background, reminding us of the event. She calls me close but declares loudly enough for the whole house to hear, “You have…
Sometimes I wish I could go back and change certain parts of my past.
Not because I want to erase who I was, but because some choices followed me much longer than I ever expected.
I was young. I made mistakes. I trusted people I shouldn't have, stayed in situations that didn't feel right, and sometimes confused attention, attachment, and excitement with love.
I can't undo any of that.
But what hurts is when the past becomes something you have to keep defending, even after you've grown, learned, and changed.
There comes a point when you just want to say:
“That was me then. This is me now.”
I know I've made mistakes. I know there are things I wish I had handled differently.
But I also know that the person I became after those mistakes is real.
I don't want my past to decide whether I deser…
This is my first post, but it’s the start of something. What? I don’t know. I’m looking for me. It sounds stupid, but I’m not the me I remember. I’m not even sure the me I remember is real or just an imagined fantasy of the kid who everyone thought was going somewhere.
Where am I now? I wish I knew. I don’t have the confidence I had 20 years ago. I’m not sure I have the confidence I had 3 years ago. Every step forward feels like walking through taffy.
The goal was always to help people. Really, to help myself by helping people. Now, it feels like people don’t want real help, they want easy help. They want the disposable, hallucination filled help that comes from a simple question to a chat bot.
I need to find the people who see the value in people. Otherwise, where are …
Do you ever miss a version of yourself that doesn’t exist anymore?
Sometimes I look back and realise I’m not really missing a person or a place. I’m missing who I was when everything felt simpler. The way I used to get excited over
small things, trust people easily, and not overthink every little detail.Growing up changes you quietly. One day you realise you don’t react to things the same way anymore. Some things that once mattered feel distant, and some memories suddenly feel heavier than they used to.Maybe growing up is partly learning to let
go of old versions of yourself without feeling guilty for becoming someone new.
Maybe the hardest part is accepting that some versions of us are meant to stay in the past. We keep thinking about what we would do differently if we could go back, what we would say, who we would avoid, and which moments we would hol…
Consider love's opposite. I've been told from childhood that it's hate. But is it? In both instances the object of the affection or torment is known.
Evaluating who the person is not just their physical appearance. As in a human relationship but also their personality goes into the decision to love or hate them, in my experience.
And the true nature of that love is revealed in the depth sacrifice I see in my and that person's decision to love.
So, what is the opposite of love if rooted in sacrifice? It would be the opposite of caring which is apathy.
Because apathy is not caring. It's numb.
And what is the opposite of sacrifice? The opposite of giving up is using up. The opposite of give is take. But the opposite of giving up something or someone at a great personal price, to love th…
Like a traveler who’s run out of daylight. The stars should help, but it is cloudy. Not knowing where to turn or keep straight, I am aimlessly moving about. The air is still, almost suffocating, but I’ll survive. And the future? It is unknown. Though the unknown can be exhilarating sometimes…
In the beginning of 2022, when I heard the news that my best friend is no more i felt lonely and i was ready to do anything to get rid of that feeling, so I did. There was a boy from my class trying to get me since October or November of 2021 i guess but i kept refusing him and told him that the only relation between us could be the friendship only but he still didn't stop. So, the next day from the day I heard about my friend, i asked that boy to provide me a phone from a friend of him so we could talk at night because phones weren't allowed in hostel and he did. Let's call this boy X and my friend be A. In the evening, when we were in our bed just a few minutes before dinner he called me and I picked it up. He said hello, then asked about my well being and then he confessed again. I was …

There is a particular kind of magic in music that words alone can never capture. A song arrives at exactly the moment you need it and not by any coincidence, but by some strange alchemy between your heart and the melody. It wraps around you like a familiar embrace, telling you that your feelings are valid, that someone, somewhere, has felt this exact way.
The right song can stop you in your tracks. You'll be going through your day, tired, overwhelmed, lost in your own thoughts, when suddenly a melody begins and everything shifts. It's as if the artist reached into your chest, pulled out your deepest emotions, and gave them a voice. For those few minutes, you're not alone. Someone understands. That is the gift of a truly resonant song.
Music has a way of reaching places words cannot touch. …
From behind the safety of glass windows, rain feels like a poetry. We watch it streak down in silver threads, each drop a small miracle that refills our wells, greens our gardens, cools our burning cities. Inside our homes , with their sealed roofs and drainage systems, rain is a gift we invite and thoroughly enjoy. We open our windows to breathe in its petrichor, that intoxicating smell of earth waking up. Children press their faces to the pane, mesmerized. We brew chai, pull out books, find an excuse to pause from the rushing life . Finally, we say, the rain has come and we feel our stress and pain melting.
We pray for it during drought. We ask the heavens for more water, more abundance, more life. We celebrate when the monsoon arrives, when the rain promises to quench our thirst and fil…
Today I am going to tell you about the topic which must have been witnessed by all of us. All of us are 'suffering' from this disease which is known by the name of "RELATIVE". Once I came across the rap it was against the relative I can not write the whole line of that rap since lyrics becomes abusive later but the line was (mera ma bhi changi mera .....) something like that. By the way it was a Punjabi rap and I am so sure some of you must have heard this masterpiece. This rap is a absolute critics of the disease 'RELATIVE' .
As a Indian we know that we people are known for our society culture and for how we keep connected with those relatives who is so far from us. In past this relative culture was so good because back then people used to be really helpful and they were always there in n…
I am not very good at saying how I feel.
Not because I don't have feelings.
I have too many.
I just don't always know what to do with them once they become words.
Sometimes I want to tell someone that I miss them, but instead I ask, "What are you doing?"
Sometimes I want to say, "That hurt me," but I say, "It's fine."
Sometimes I want someone to stay a little longer, but I say, "You can go, it's okay."
And sometimes I am having a terrible day, but when someone asks me how I am, I automatically say, "I'm good."
It's almost funny how easily we can lie with two words.
"I'm fine."
I've wondered why I do this.
Maybe I don't want to seem needy.
Maybe I'm afraid that if I say what I actually feel, I'll make things awkward.
Maybe I've convinced myself that other people have enough problems of thei…
I found the shop on a street I had walked past a hundred times. That was the strange part.
It wasn’t hidden behind an alley or covered in vines. It wasn’t surrounded by anything mysterious. It was simply there, squeezed
between a bakery and an old bookstore, with a tiny wooden sign above the door.MEMORIES — BOUGHT & SOLD.I stood outside for almost a minute, wondering whether it was some kind of joke.
Then I walked in.There were hundreds of glass bottles arranged on wooden shelves. Some were tiny, some enormous. Each had a handwritten label.“First day of school.”“Grandmother’s kitchen.”
“Falling in love at seventeen.”“Summer vacation, 1998.”“Last conversation.”I stared at them.“What exactly do you sell?” I asked the old woman behind the counter.
“Memories,” she said, as if that were obvious…
I don't know why we get so attached to certain clothes
It's literally just a shirt
A piece of fabric that has somehow survived questionable washing cycles, random stains, and probably more days than it was supposed to
And yet, the moment someone says, “You should throw this away,”
Absolutely not
There are clothes in my cupboard that I haven't worn properly in months
Maybe even years
But I'm still not ready to let them go
And the funniest part is that I don't even have a good reason
It's not expensive
It's not particularly fashionable
It might not even fit the way it used to
But somehow, it feels wrong to get rid of it
Maybe because some clothes become familiar
You know exactly how they feel
You know which pocket has a tiny tear
You know how the sleeves sit
You know that this particular hoo…
I was only 5 yrs old when I first met him. He was 12, but a little kid around me. He was mature in that age too nd me, i was always do lost in myself that i never actually cared for him. We became friends I mean really good friends and my parents never prioritize me as they did my brothers so whenever something used to happen to me at home or anywhere, I would go to him nd sometimes I ran to him. He became so important to me nd i didn't even realize that but I was so sure that he was the only one i could run to whenever I felt like broken. We grew up and stayed together for 5 yrs, then I went to hostel for study because I was so done with my family nd he also suggested me or forced me to study hard so that I'd got into that hostel and continue my life at a place where I won't have to hear …
A time for laughing. What is it about laughing? I mean, really belly-gurgling, falling on the floor, tears in your eyes, laughter. There's a space I go to when something tickles me that much. The other day I remembered the day I made my wife laugh that much. It felt beyond me to be able to bring her so much joy. We were watching a newscast, and they had a story segment. It was a live camera of a storm blowing in. They had a close-up of the fairgrounds. For years we have had a fair in town, and the staple of that Fall occasion is visiting and seeing Big Tex. Big Tex is an automated, large, Paul Bunyan-sized man on the grounds. Yes, he's talked for years. He caught on fire a few years back and has had clothing makeovers thanks to the Dickies brand, which uses him to advertise their jeans.
